TEHRAN - Tractor football team defeated Gol Gohar Sirjan 1-0 in Matchweek 22 of the 2025/26 Persian Gulf Pro League (PGPL) on Thursday night.

The match took place at the Sahand Stadium in Tabriz, where Mehdi Hashemnejhad netted the decisive goal in the 40th minute, securing three valuable points for the hosts.

Tractor controlled much of the contest and held firm defensively to preserve their narrow advantage until the final whistle.

With the victory, Tractor moved to the top of the standings with 39 points, one point clear of both Esteghlal and Sepahan.

On Friday, Kheybar will host Chadormalou, Shams Azar take on Foolad, Paykan meet Sepahan and Esteghlal play Fajr Sepasi.

The title race remains tight as the season enters its decisive stages, with several crucial fixtures scheduled for Friday across the league.
